The 11th General Convention of the CPN-UML officially began on Saturday in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur. Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the convention during a special function attended by party leaders, delegates, and supporters from across the country.

With the start of the convention, discussions and competition for the party’s future leadership have also begun. Leaders are holding meetings and informal talks as they try to gain support for key positions within the party. The convention is expected to decide the party’s new leadership, political direction, and organizational structure.

Thousands of delegates have gathered at the venue, creating a lively political atmosphere. The UML leadership has said the convention will focus on strengthening party unity, reviewing past activities, and preparing strategies for future elections.
