Butwal — Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and former managing director of Gorkha Media, is set to be released on Friday. Although the court had issued an order, he could not be released on Thursday because he had to personally appear at the Rupandehi District Court to complete the required paperwork.
On Thursday, the Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court, comprising Judges Basudev Acharya and Tej Narayan Paudel, overturned the district court’s order of Shrawan 26 and directed that Lamichhane be released on bail equal to the claimed amount, under certain conditions.
