Kathmandu — In the first four months of the current fiscal year, 2.5 billion rupees of direct foreign investment (equity only) have been received. According to the monthly report published by Nepal Rastra Bank, 2.49 billion rupees of direct foreign investment (equity only) has been brought in.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, only 751.2 million rupees of investment came in during Kartik. Meanwhile, the Department of Industry’s data shows that 1.5439 billion rupees of foreign investment commitments were made in that month.

The data also shows that in the current fiscal year, the highest investment commitments were made in Saun, while the largest actual inflows were in Kartik. In Saun, foreign investment commitments amounted to 2.41049 billion rupees, but only 691.5 million rupees were received. In Bhadra, commitments were 898.7 million rupees, while 581.9 million rupees actually came in.
